Upcoming Support Group Meetings

Each month there are support meetings across the region where people with MND, their carers, friends and family can get together.  The meetings are informal and are good place to share advice and experience.

There are currently three Support Group meetings in the area – Bristol, Bath, and Weston-super-Mare. The dates, times and venues are listed on our events page.

Please contact Neil Drinkwater for more info and to let him know if you are thinking of coming. He can also arrange transport too. Email Neil: or call 07831 349398.

Support for people affected by MND

Over the next two years the Support Volunteer Project will be looking at how the Association could provide even bigger, better volunteer support for people affected by MND.

That could mean:

  • Growing our network, especially in areas with few volunteers.
  • Looking at new volunteer roles or looking again at roles which have been trialed locally.
  • Exploring new ways of volunteering.
  • Further improving the Association Visitor service, including learning from local best practice.

As the project kicks off, we are keen to hear your ideas for improvements (big or small). And every suggestion you make will receive a response.
