The group at Bath Christmas MarketOur group is run entirely by volunteers and we feel passionately about making a difference for people with Motor Neurone Disease.

We always welcome new volunteers – could you give a little of your time to help?

Some of our volunteers have some connection with MND and volunteer as a way to ‘give back’ to others affected by the disease. Others may have no connection with MND but want to meet new people, gain new skills or work experience while benefiting the local community. Whatever your reason for volunteering, we want to hear from you!

Please contact Jo Campbell – jo.campbell@mndassociation.org or call 01392 881189.

We urgently need more volunteers. You don’t need personal experience of MND – just the desire to help – and there are many volunteering opportunities including:

  • Helping to organise or support a fund-raising event
  • Making refreshments at support meetings
  • Helping with publicity and mailings
  • Becoming an Association Visitor
  • Making a donation to local funds

Association Visitors

Association Visitors offer support and friendship to people affected by MND by making regular telephone contact and visiting people either in their homes or in residential care. They provide a valuable link to the MND Association and other local sources of help.

The sort of people who volunteer as Visitors are good listeners who work with tact and sensitivity and understand the need for confidentiality. They are caring, reliable people able to offer many forms of practical support.

For information about Association Visitors please visit the Association Visitors section of the national web site or contact Neil via email neil.drinkwater@mndassociation.org or call 07831 349 398.
